Storing & Handling DiamondFinish Clear
DiamondFinish Clear can easily be stored for at least six months after opening. Do not paint out of the can — do not shake the can. Dispense a working amount of DiamondFinish Clear into a separate container (steel or glass is best) and seal the original can immediately. Keep the can groove free of paint by using a scoop or KBS Paint Spout. Use a plastic zip lock type bag between the lid and the top of the can to stop metal-to-metal contact — DiamondFinish Clear can permanently seal the lid if left in direct contact.
⚠ Do Not Return Unused Paint to the Can Unused paint should never be put back into the original can — it will shorten shelf life and may cause pressure build-up that pops the lid. If there is any trouble resealing the lid tightly, transfer and store DiamondFinish Clear in a proportionally sized clean glass jar or new paint can. Always store in a cool, dry place. |
📝 Pro Tip: Never Mix Old & New Cans It is best practice never to mix DiamondFinish Clear from a previously opened can with a new can. The older can may contain moisture absorbed from the air, which can significantly reduce the pot life of the fresh material. |
