RustSeal has been thoroughly tested and can be applied with the RustSeal (in the can or container), air, and surfaces temperatures are between 55F-82F. In addition to temperature, the relative humidity should be between 30-80 RH.
- The surface temperature is typically less than the air temperature. Make sure both surface and are temperatures are within the range of 55-82F.
- If the temperature is too high, the solvents in RustSeal can evaporate too quickly causing a less than ideal looking finish and possible adhesion issues.
- If the humidity is below 30RH, RustSeal may take much longer to cure which can cause a less than ideal looking finish.
- If the humidity is above 80RH, RustSeal make cure too quickly causing a less than ideal looking finish and possible adhesion issues.
- When temperature and humidity may be out of the range of 55-82F and 30-80RH, always do the actual application when the surface and air temperature and humidity are within those ranges.
- If the temperature or humidity is too low, please allow extra cure time beyond what the RustSeal Directions state.
- Always allow RustSeal to get to 55-82F before application.
- RustSeal can be shipped or stored in below freezing temperatures with absolutely no affect on the RustSeal. Always allow RustSeal to get to 55-82F before application.
