RustBlast will not disturb any fully cured coatings, including existing undercoating. Both RustBlast and KBS Klean are safe to use around cured undercoating when following the KBS 3 Step System.
The key word is fully cured. If your undercoating has not yet reached full cure, allow it to completely cure before applying RustBlast or KBS Klean to adjacent bare metal areas. Once cured, neither product will soften, lift, or otherwise affect the undercoating.
