When do I do the Cavity Coater? After prepping and coating the outside of the frame with RustSeal or before?

When coating a frame inside and out, always apply RustSeal to the outside first and let it fully cure before moving on to Cavity Coater on the inside. Getting the sequence right protects your exterior coat and makes cleanup straightforward.

Application Sequence

Step 1 — Prep the frame surface, then apply RustSeal to the outside of the frame.

Step 2 — Allow RustSeal to fully cure for at least 24 hours.

Step 3 — Apply Cavity Coater to the inside of the frame.

Cleanup Tip

Any Cavity Coater that seeps out of frame holes can be wiped away with mineral spirits. Because the exterior RustSeal is already fully cured at this point, cleanup won't disturb your finished coat.
