What is the difference between the DiamondFinish Clear and DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol?

DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol delivers a professional, show-quality finish right out of the can — no spray gun, no mixing, no hassle. It's the most convenient way to apply DiamondFinish Clear chemistry to your project.

Because aerosol formulations require a significant amount of solvent to achieve proper spray atomization, the film deposited per coat is thinner. Six coats of DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol are required to equal the film build of a single coat of DiamondFinish Clear.

💡 TIP: Cutting & Polishing for a Mirror Finish

Both DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol and DiamondFinish Clear can be cut and polished to produce a deep, mirror-like finish. If you plan to cut and polish, apply 6–10 coats of the aerosol to ensure you have enough film thickness to work with without cutting through to the substrate.

Choosing the right format for your project:

DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol — Best for smaller projects, touch-ups, or any time you want a great-looking finish without equipment. Spray and go.  DiamondFinish Clear — Best when ultimate durability and maximum film build are the priority. Can be brushed, rolled, or sprayed with conventional equipment for full control over application thickness.
