What is the difference between the DiamondFinish Clear and DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol?

DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol is very convenient and produces a professional looking finish. Because it takes quite a bit of solvent to thin down DiamondFinish Clear to get it in an aerosol can, it requires six coats of DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol to equal one coat of DiamondFinish Clear.

If you are looking for a great looking finish and the convenience of an aerosol, grab the DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol. If you need ultimate durability, grab the DiamondFinish Clear which can be brushed, sprayed, or rolled.

PRO TIP: Both DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol and DiamondFinish Clear can be cut and polished as needed to produce a mirror-like finish. If you are applying the DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol, be sure to get 6-10 coats down to give you the film thickness to do your cut and polish.

Which of the DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol sheens has the least reflection: gloss or satin?

DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol in the Gloss Sheen is the shiniest and offers the most reflection. It is remarkably similar to a mirror-like finish. To get technical, it is between 90-95% gloss measured at a 60-degree angle.

DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol in the Satin Sheen is not as shiny but does have some shine. To get technical, it is between 45-55% gloss measured at a 60-degree angle.

With that in mind, of Gloss and Satin, Satin would offer less amount of reflection and Gloss would offer the most amount of reflection.

Is DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol Impervious To Fuels

While DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol is impervious to most solvents and oils, we do not recommend DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol where there will be substantial contact with fuel. Fuel is quite harsh and can wrinkle DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol when there is substancial contact.

That said, DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol is a tough Clear Coat that can be conveniently applied Direct To Ferrous Metals and Aluminum or over other coatings.

DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol is a water clear aerosol clear coat that utilizes a professional grade acrylic resin system for supreme clarity and adhesion.

DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol does not yellow, crack or peel.
