I love Motor Coater. It covers great and brushes nice. I have a project coming up where I want to use Motor Coater but the surfaces will be subjected to quite a bit of fuel. I know Motor Coater is resistance to fuel but is designed for the exterior of an engine which does not see much contact with fuel. Do you have a clear coat that I could apply over Motor Coater to enhance the fuel resistance of Motor Coater given my unique application? I want to keep the incredible look of Motor Coater but looking to give the surface more protection from the fuel contact.

Great Question!

Yes, KBS MAXX Clear offers excellent resistance to fuel (even Jet Fuel) and KBS MAXX Clear looks great when applied over Motor Coater providing a beautiful and durable surface.

Once Motor Coater has cured 7 days, you apply KBS MAXX Clear, which can be brushed or sprayed, in thin coats and at least two coats when fuel resistance is needed. It is best practice to allow 7 days of cure for the KBS MAXX Clear before you put the painted pieces back in service.

Please review the Motor Coater Application Directions and the KBS MAXX Clear Application Directions before you start your project and reach out if you have any additional questions.
