XTC and XTC Primer - Xtreme Temperature Coating

I like the color of XTC Primer. Do I have to coat over it?

XTC Primer is 100% UV stable, looks great brushed or sprayed out, and can be left as a finish coat if desired. You do not have to apply a color coat of XTC over XTC Primer.

If I paint exhaust headers with the XTC Primer and XTC, can I do an exhaust wrap after the XTC is properly cured?

Yes, if you temperature cure XTC Primer and XTC, you can put an exhaust wrap over fully cured XTC with no issues at all.

Can XTC be used to paint the exhaust on a Harley Davison?

Yes. For an exterior (exposed to the elements) application, like a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle, you will want to get down 1-2 coats of the XTC Primer and then 1-2 coats of XTC. Coating a motorcycle exhaust is a very common application for XTC Primer and XTC.

PRO TIP: Always apply thin coats and never heavy coats. This applies for XTC Primer and XTC.

I am looking to apply XTC to a furnace exterior. Can the temperature curing be done by burning the furnace at a low temperature? How long?

Yes, get the temperature of the furnace exterior surface to 350F for 30 minutes and the XTC will be fully cured. Let the temperature come up to 350F slowly and hen back to room temperature slowly.

For an exterior application, please remember to apply 1-2 thin, covering coats of XTC Primer before the XTC. The XTC Primer provides the rust protection.

Does XTC Primer have to be temperature cured before XTC is applied?

You do not have to temperature cure between XTC Primer and XTC.

You can do the temperature curing as described in the XTC Directions after you have applied both XTC Primer and then XTC with the appropriate time between coats based upon whether you are using the aerosol or the non-aerosol.

If you have already temperature cured XTC Primer, you are free to apply XTC and then do the temperature cure for the XTC.
