Can XTC Clear Be Applied Over Motor Coater?

I like the color of XTC Primer. Do I have to coat over it?

No topcoat required. XTC Primer is 100% UV stable and can be left as the finish coat, so its color won't fade or chalk in sunlight.

If I paint exhaust headers with the XTC Primer and XTC, can I do an exhaust wrap after the XTC is properly cured?

Yes. Once XTC Primer and XTC are fully temperature cured, you can wrap the exhaust headers. Wrapping before the cure is complete can harm the coating.

Can XTC be used to paint the exhaust on a Harley Davison?

Painting a Harley-Davidson exhaust is one of the most common XTC jobs. Use thin coats of XTC Primer, then XTC, and never apply heavy coats.

I am looking to apply XTC to a furnace exterior. Can the temperature curing be done by burning the furnace at a low temperature? How long?

Yes, a furnace can heat cure XTC. Raise the surface to 350°F slowly, hold 30 minutes, then cool slowly. Prime first with XTC Primer for rust protection.

Does XTC Primer have to be temperature cured before XTC is applied?

No separate cure is needed for XTC Primer. Apply XTC Primer and XTC within the recoat window, then do one temperature cure for both at the end.

If I paint exhaust headers with the XTC Primer and XTC paint, will it be okay to do an exhaust wrap after the paint is properly cured?

Exhaust wrap can go over headers coated with XTC Primer and XTC, but only after the temperature cure is fully complete for both coatings.

May I use XTC on mufflers with light rust?

XTC works on mufflers with light rust. Prime with XTC Primer for rust protection, then apply 1 to 2 thin coats of XTC. Never apply heavy coats.
